This gorgeously rendered burnt orange colored Iris painting, using homemade tempura paint, is truly unique. The artist uses clays found in his home state to make the tempera medium using only egg yolk and water. The lovely range of natural colors will not fade because of the organic composition of the tempera paint and because acid free paper is used. All art is matted and framed. he molding is not antique. The finish on the gold is a wash of brown stain which is sometimes referred to as antiqued. tru-vue clear, 2mm glass is used.
Customers can purchase either a print copy of an original or request an original painting with minor variations. What is offered here is the print. If an original painting is ordered, there will be an approx. two week wait before shipping. Once the art work is shipped, customers will receive a tracking number.
